Bone Broth Protein Powder has finally arrived!
Bone Broth Protein Powder
I know, to anyone who hasn’t yet experienced their first cup of bone broth, the idea may sound slightly unappetizing. But, if you are like me, and are disgruntled by all other protein powder sources due to the powder's refined rancidity or poor absorption problems, but wanted a protein powder as an option for quick meals, then you will love this. Also, if you are like me and rely on bone broth to support your gut health and understand that pain of not having it while at traveling, backpacking or on long work days, then you will understand that my glorious love of bone broth protein powder.
Let me explain why I love it:
Here’s the deal, bone broth is an extremely rich source of protein, collagen, gelatin, glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate, as well as key minerals and amino acids that are often missing in our modern day diets. If you are someone like me who loves to backpack and needs every joint support you can get, than these are the key nutrients you need to be seeking out in your foods.
It supports your gut health.
For years, I have been using bone broth to support my own gut health. Any time I have digestive discomforts, I know it is time for me to get some more broth into my diet. Why? Because bone broth has so many of the key nutrients needed to support the sealing of your gut (technically the tight junctions of the endothelial cells of your intestines). Thanks to the amino acids found in bone broth, such as arginine, glycine and proline, it also has an anti-inflammatory effect, helping settle my intestines during times of discomfort!
It supports your joints, promotes strong bones, promotes hair and nail growth and due to the glycine, also has a calming effect, helping many sleep better.
It is made from organic pastured raised chickens.
Ancient Nutritions is using only the cleanest bones available to make this broth. It’s so important when making good broth to make sure you have a clean source of animal bones, joints and tissues to reduce risk of toxicity from heavy metals and pesticides.
Why not just make your own?
Well, let’s be clear, you should make your own. It’s marvelous and easy to do. However, there are times when it is extremely difficult to make your own as well as, times when you unexpectedly needed bone broth right away. I can’t tell you how many times I wanted bone broth while hiking the appalachian trail or road tripping across the country. Also, there have been so many times where I have come home from work and realized I caught whatever cold or virus was going around and was too fatigued to make the broth. Due to the MSG added into most (even organic) store broths, I never consumed boxed broth. But now, all I have to do is add a scoop to water and have my broth! Not to mention, some people want the benefits of bone broth, but who are intimidated by cooking broth or don’t have a kitchen to cook in.
How to get it:
Ancient Nutrition is the only company on the market that I have found that makes a protein powder out of clean and pure dehydrated bone broth powder. I’ve tried the pure flavor and the vanilla flavor and highly recommend them. I have found it incredibly easy to use, and for the cost, very affordable compared to other high quality protein powders.
How to use it:
There are literally a million ways you could use your bone broth protein powder. Add it to soups to enhance flavor and broth. Add it to smoothies to improve texture and increase the protein. Bake with it. Just stir it in hot or cold water and drink it. Add a little to tea or coffee. Just mix some with butter and maple syrup and eat it straight up like candy. You do what makes you happy, man.
